About the collection
We invite you to cooperate with the specialized editions of the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
Collection of scientific works "Modern construction and architecture" publishes articles that contain new theoretical and practical results in the field of construction and civil engineering and have not been published before.
The journal aims to highlight current issues in the construction industry and explore solutions through fundamental and applied research, innovative scientific approaches to the development of materials, structures, and technologies, and the analysis of economic aspects within the construction sector.
Objectives of the Publication:
- Publishing scientific research on promising areas of fundamental science, practical developments, and the implementation of innovative projects, in accordance with the needs of the construction industry.
- Covering key fields, including building structures, construction materials and technologies, hydraulic and transport engineering, engineering networks and equipment, bases and foundations, and construction technology and managment.
- Facilitating the exchange of scientific ideas, research methodologies, and practical achievements.
- Providing a platform for professional discussion of new theories and research findings.
The collection of scientific works is included in the List of Scientific Professional Editions of Ukraine (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1643 dated Desember 28, 2019 (Category B), where the results of dissertations, scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists, doctoral students, postgraduates, lecturers, students of higher educational institutions and practitioners in the field of «Construction and Architecture».
The journal has been assigned the International Number of Scientific Periodicals ISSN 2786-6696 (print), ISSN 2786-670X (online).
From 2016 the collection of scientific works is included in the international scientific-methodical base of the Index Copernicus.
Since 2025, the collection of scientific works "Modern construction and architecture" has been distributed under the terms of the international Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (СС BY 4.0) license.

All publications are checked for the plagiarism program – StrikePlagiarism.com. Articles with at least 85% originality are accepted for review.
Articles are published in English and Ukrainian.
Frequency of the publication ‒ 4 times a year (March, June, September, December).
The journal Modern Construction and Architecture is a fully Open Access publication, ensuring that all content is available free of charge to researches and institutions worldwide.
Access Rights
All articles published under Open Access are permanently available for reading, downloading, copying, and distribution.
The editorial staff implements a multi-layered strategy to ensure uninterrupted access to the journal’s content:
- Every article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) via CrossRef to ensure permanent linking.
- The journal’s website undergoes daily backups to prevent data loss.
- The editorial team monitors technological trends to prevent content obsolescence and ensures that file formats (PDF, XML) remain accessible.
- Metadata and full-text versions are deposited in national and international repositories, ensuring long-term digital preservation even in the event of technical failure.
User Rights
The permitted reuse of published materials by third parties is defined by the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This allows to:
- Copy and redistributed the material in any medium of format;
- Create excerpts, abstracts, and new works based on the article;
- Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose except commercial use;
- Attribution: Users must provide appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. This must be done via a direct link to the official publication using DOI;
- Non-Commercial: The material, including modified versions, may not be used for commercial purposes (such as resale by commercial entities) without prior written permission from the authors;
- No Endorsement: The user must not imply that the licensor or the editorial board endorses their specific use of the work.
Authors' rights
Authors retain the copyright to the work along with the rights to its further scientific use. By submitting to the journal, the authors receive the journal Modern Construction and Architecture the rights to the first publication and worldwide distribution of the manuscript.
Full-text access to all articles is available in the "Archive" section of the website. The journal’s policy fully complies with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of Open Access: articles are freely available on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the fully texts of these articles.
